PDO Thread Lift

PDO threads are absorbable surgical sutures inserted beneath the skin through a fine cannula. Barbed lifting threads reposition sagging tissue in the mid-face, jawline and neck immediately, while smooth mono and screw threads stimulate collagen along their path. Everything dissolves within six to eight months, leaving the new collagen behind.

Adults with mild to moderate laxity who still have reasonable skin quality — typically late thirties to fifties. Not suitable for significant heavy sagging, which is better served surgically, or during pregnancy, active infection or autoimmune flare.

• Sleep on your back, elevated, for one week
• No wide mouth opening, dental work or facial massage for 2–3 weeks
• Soft diet for several days and no strenuous exercise for two weeks
• Avoid saunas, facials and lasers for four weeks

• How long does a thread lift last?

  The lift generally holds 12–18 months. The threads themselves absorb by six to eight months but the collagen they build persists.
